Go Abroad Week
Go Abroad Week 26 October - 30 October 2015 from 10:00–17:00 - international [dot] relations [at] vub [dot] ac [dot] be
Go abroad during or after your studies or VUB career. Find out how at the Go Abroad Week
After the popular Go Abroad Fair, the International Relations & Mobility Office will now for the first time organize a whole Go Abroad Week: a whole week full of free events to showcase the possibilities for students, PhD’s and VUB Personnel to Go Abroad during their studies or careers.
The VUB wants all students and staff to be World citizens, and what better way to develop World citizenship than through living, working, studying or volunteering abroad? It’s not only a great experience you will remember for the rest of your life, it will also be a big bonus on your CV.
We kick off the Go Abroad Week with a celebration of our own multicultural city of Brussels. At the Brussels Abroad festival on Monday the 26th of October you can discover the cultural diversity at your doorstep, with food, music and entertainment from Brussels own multicultural inhabitants who will come to the VUB to share their culture with VUB’s students and staff.
If you want to find out what opportunities there are for VUB students to go abroad, then don’t miss the Go Abroad Fair in Jette on the 27th of October, or in Etterbeek on the 28th of October. You can even win an interrail trip across Europe worth 1966Eur at the Brussels Abroad Festival and the Go Abroad Fairs in Jette and Etterbeek.
If it’s an international internship you’re looking for then come to the Convivium on the 29th.
Staff and students who want to improve their Intercultural Competences Workshop can also sign up for the Intercultural Communications Workshop on the 27th, and for PhD and personnel there is also an info session on international mobility opportunities for them on the 27th in Jette and the 30th in Etterbeek.
Also don't mis the Eat Abroad Erasmus exhibit and international meals in the Etterbeek Restaurant throughout the Week.
All activities throughout the week are free.
Find out more via the links above.
Throughout the week in the Etterbeek restaurant you can find an Erasmus photo exhibit, with pictures of Erasmus Students from around the World.
Curious to see what the life of an Erasmus student is like? As any former Erasmus student can assure you, it is great fun, and the experience of a lifetime. But don’t take our word for it, why don’t you come see the snapshots of Erasmus experiences in the VUB Restaurant for yourself.
While you are in the mood, why don’t you enjoy an international meal? Every day of the week, the VUB restaurant will shine the spotlight on one of the countries where VUB students can go on exchange, by serving an international meal from one of these countries every day.
