Student administration for students with a combined enrolment

Apply

  • As a new VUB student

  • You have to apply online first. Take a look at the information below.
  • After you have been admitted for both programmes you can visit the campus in order to enroll.

Would you like to enrol in more than one programme? Would you like, for example, to combine the preparatory programme with the master’s programme? If so, you must apply for each programme and afterwards enrol in both programmes.

For the first programme

Fill out the application for the first programme and click on the submit icon on the last page to send in your application.

For the second programme

  1. Again go to the online application and log in with your email address and password:

  2. Confirm your personal details where needed.

  3. On the page 'program selection' under 'choice of programme' tick off the box 'this is a registration for which I wish to combine enrolments in diploma contracts.'

  4. Complete this application by clicking on the submit icon on the last page.

  • As a current VUB student

In case you want to enrol in more than one programme follow these steps.

  1. You will receive an e-mail from the Education and Student administration when you can re-enrol in your current programme, the basic programme. You re-enrol in the basic programme in the Student SelfService. Log on with your NetID and password.
  2. As soon as you are re-enrolled for the next academic year, you must apply for the additional programme. Start your application through the online application tool. Log on with your NetID and password.
  3. During the application for the additional programme on the page 'program selection' under 'choice of programme' tick the box 'this is a registration for which I wish to combine enrollments in diploma contracts.'

  4. Complete this application by clicking on the submit icon on the last page.

Student card and registration certificates

Even though you are enrolled in two programmes you will only receive one student card. The basic programme will be mentioned on your student card.

E.g. you are enrolled for both the preparatory programme and the master’s programme. The preparatory programme will be mentioned on your student card.

Registration certificates

You will automatically receive registration certificates for the basic programme within the next three weeks after having signed your online contract. You have to request registration certificates for your additional programme for you will not receive these automatically. You can use this online form to request the registration certificates.

E.g. you are enrolled for both the preparatory programme and the master’s programme. You will only receive registration certificates for the preparatory programme.

Tuition fee

Fixed and variable amount

The fixed amount is only due once per academic year.
For the purposes of calculating the tuition fees, the enrolments of a student for one or several programmes and for one or several programme units under a diploma contract and credit contract will be treated as a single enrolment. All ECTS-credits will therefore be added together.

Scholarship students

EEA scholarship students with a combined enrolment in 2016-2017, pay a tuition fee fixed cost of € 105 and a variable amount of €0. Since the fixed amount is only due once per academic year scholarship students in practice do not pay additional tuition fee for a additional enrolment.

For non-EEA scholarship students the amounts are as follows: € 230,00 fixed plus € 11,00 variable (= per credit).

Deviating from the general rule

Deviating from the general rule, enrolments in the following programmes will be treated as individual enrolments (and not as additional enrolments):

  • enrolment for an advanced master’s programme;
  • enrolment for a PhD;
  • enrolment for a postgraduate programme;
  • enrolment under an exam contract with a view to obtaining ECTS-credits;
  • enrolment under the form of an exam contract with a view to obtaining a degree.
