About the programme

The VUB Master of Science in Communication Studies offers you the interdisciplinary insights that allows you to understand today's profoundly mediated society and become a critical and reflective professional in the field of media and communication. The VUB offers two 60 ECTS English-language Masters in Communication Studies. Both English-language masters make optimal use of Brussels with its range of European and international institutions and the many media, journalism and communication professionals working in and around those institutions.

Depending on your citizenship (Belgian, EEA, NON-EEA) and degree of higher education (Belgian, Non-Belgian), you might have to apply via the online application procedure. Pre- and co-requisites

These pre- and  co-requisites are strong admission requirements during the preparatory and master programme.

pre-requisite is a course you must have completed successfully in order to start another course.

co-requisite is a course you must be enrolled for at the same time with another course (if you haven't completed it yet).
