Please check your timetable at least weekly to be informed about any changes to date, time or room of courses:

Exchange Programmes

It is best to always select 8:00 - 22:00 as time slot to cover the whole day. Be aware that for evening programs courses can take place on Saturday before noon as well.

With questions/remarks in regards to courses of the faculty you may contact the faculty secretariat.

With questions/remarks in regards to courses of other faculties it is best to contact the faculties concerned.

Exam schedule

Announcement

According to article 106 from the Teaching and Examination regulation 2017-2018 the exam schedules

  • of the first session (January + June) should be announced at least four weeks before the start of the examinations
  • of the second session (August) should be announced at least two weeks before the start of the examinations

The dates of the examination periods can be found in the academic calendar.

Registration Oral Exams

You register yourself via Pointcarré from 15th November 2017 until 14th January 2018 included. For Applied Linguistics you can register when the list has been made by the Professor.

Useful information

Ombudsperson

You can contact the faculty ombudsperson with comments or complaints about the exam schedule, evaluation of the master's thesis, deliberation, announcement of results or study progress.  

Rescheduling exams

In case of force majeure, you can ask for an examination to be rescheduled:

  1. Fill in the force majeure form.
  2. E-mail this form to the lecturer-in-charge and to faclw [at] vub [dot] ac [dot] be.
  3. The faculty secretariat will inform you about the decision.

Do not forget to submit documents that proof the force majeure within three calendar days of the date on which the examination took place. More information on force majeure can be found in the teaching and examination regulations.
