Annual PhD progress report and re-enrolment

Annual PhD progress report

When you are registered as a PhD-student, you will have to write an annual progress report.

The PhD Progress Monitoring Commission of the faculty will decide whether or not you will be given permission to re-enroll for the following academic year based on this report. This means that if you do not submit a progress report, you will not be able to re-enroll the following year!

Students of the Faculty Physical Education and Physiotherapy use the Faculty template for the PhD progress report. No other formats will be accepted!

The report has to be send electronically to faclk [at] vub [dot] ac [dot] be the 1st of May 2016 at the latest.

Re-enrolment

If the Commission has given you permission to re-enrol based on your report, the Registrar's Office will issue you with the appropriate form for automatic re-admission.

You have to be registered as a student every academic year, not just the year you will present your dissertation!

Don’t forget to consult the faculty protocol for dissertation defences with your supervisor.

OMBUDSPERSON for PhD students

PhD students' remarks and complaints relating to difficulties involving the supervisor(s) or the (Interdisciplinary) PhD Monitoring Commission during the preparation and the execution of their PhD research can be addressed to the Ombudsperson for PhD students.
