In brief

  • One year EVENING programme
  • For students with NO management/business study background
  • PREPARATORY PROGRAMME included and obligatory (1st semester)

Solvay Business School presents

This English taught evening programme meets both the needs of young university bachelors and masters without a business degree and professionals without a master degree to increase their managerial insights. It is a one-year evening programme for students without prior Management education.

Know-how for management

The programme offers both Belgian and international students the skills and know-how needed for management positions in a broad array of sectors. In detail, the programme prepares you for management positions in international companies where a good knowledge of English will be a bonus.

The MSc in Management offers a broad-based view of the field of business and economics. Particular attention is paid to instilling you with a due sense of economic intuition and vision, required as a foundation for adequate management. The courses are selected with an international and varied audience in mind. This implies that mere Belgian topics are not studied and that all courses have an international focus.

In the MSc in Management programme you will get more time to work on your Master thesis. Because the examinations of the second semester are scheduled in the month of April (in the weeks after the spring break), there will be no courses given in the last weeks of the academic year. This way you will have more time to finalise your Master thesis.

There are opportunities to spread the programme for students who wish to combine their studies with a (full-time) job. Further below you can check these spreading possibilities for both EEA and for NON-EEA students.

Preparatory programme

The preparatory programme is obligatory for all students (except those with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering with a minor profile (18ECTS) in management) and can be combined with the Master programme within the same academic year. This programme consists of 18ECTS to 21ECTS and all courses are scheduled in the first half of the first semester (so a combination with (a part of) the master programme is possible).
